    İldən ilə ölkəmizdə müsəlman qadınların sayı artır. Bu çox sevindirici bir haldır.
    Lakin, təəssüf ki, müsəlman bacılarımızın bir çox hissəsi müsəlman qadının geyim forması haqqında (hicab) olduqca az məlumatlıdırlar.
    Hicab çoxları fikirləşdiyi kimi tək baş örtüyü deyil. Hicab müsəlman aləmində qadın üçün müəyyən edilmiş dress-koddur. Hicab Allahın hökmüdür. Bu haqda Müqəddəs Qurani-Kərimdə deyilir:

    󾁀Mömin qadınlara de ki, gözlərini haram buyurulmuş şeylərdən çevirsinlər (naməhrəmə baxmasınlar), ayıb yerlərini (zinadan) qorusunlar (və ya örtülü saxlasınlar); öz-özlüyündə görünən (əl, üz) istisna olmaqla, zinətlərini (zinət yerləri olan boyun, boğaz, qol, ayaq və s. naməhrəmə) göstərməsinlər; baş örtüklərini yaxalarının üstünə çəksinlər (boyunları və sinələri görünməsin); zinət yerlərini ərlərindən, yaxud öz atalarından, yaxud ərlərinin atalarından (qayınatalarından), yaxud öz oğullarından, yaxud ərlərinin oğullarından, yaxud öz qardaşlarından, yaxud qardaşlarının oğullarından, yaxud bacılarının oğullarından, yaxud öz (müsəlman) qadınlarından, yaxud sahib olduqları (müşrik) cariyələrdən, yaxud kişiliyi qalmamış (onlarla birlikdə yemək yeyən) xidmətçilərdən, yaxud qadınların məhrəm yerlərini hələ anlamayan uşaqlardan başqasına göstərməsinlər; gizlətdikləri bəzək şeylərini (xalxallarını) göstərmək üçün ayaqlarını (yerə və ya bir-birinə) vurmasınlar. Ey möminlər! Hamınız Allaha tövbə edin ki, nicat tapasınız! (Mətləbinizə çatasınız!). (Nur surəsi, 31)

    󾁀Bu çox mühüm məsələdir. Hicabın əsas funksiyası qadının gözəlliklərini gizlətmək və bunun nəticəsində onu qorumaqdır. Hicablı (söhbət, təbii ki, əsl hicabdan gedir) qadın kişilərin diqqətini cəlb etmir və nəticədə özünü daha rahat və müdafiə olunmuş hiss edir.

    Müqəddəs Qurani-Kərimdə oxuyuruq:
    󾁀Ya Peyğəmbər! Zövcələrinə, qızlarına və möminlərin övrətlərinə de ki, (evdən çıxdıqda cariyələrə oxşamasınlar deyə, bədənlərini başdan-ayağa gizlədən) örtüklərini örtsünlər.     󾁀Evlərinizdə qərar tutun. İlkin Cahiliyyat dövründəki kimi açıq-saçıq olmayın. (Bər-bəzəyinizi taxaraq evdən çıxıb özünüzü, gözəlliyinizi yad kişilərə göstərməyin!) Namaz qılın, zəkat verin, Allaha və Rəsuluna itaət edin. Ey əhli-beyt! Allah sizdən çirkinliyi (günahı) yox etmək və sizi tərtəmiz (pak) etmək istər! (Əhzab surəsi, 33)

    󾁀Müsəlman qadının geyim forması mütləq aşağıda göstərilən şərtlərə cavab verməlidir. Nəzərinizə çatdıraq ki, belə geyim forması yalnız ictimai yerlər üçün nəzərdə tutulub. Öz ailəsində, onun üçün məhrəm olan insanların arasında qadın (təbii ki, əxlaq qaydaları aşmamaq şərti ilə) istədiyi paltar geyinə bilər. Beləliklə, müsəlman qadının dress-kodu:
    - Müsəlman qadının paltarı onun bütün bədənini (üz və əllər istisna olmaqla) örtməlidir. Saçlar, boyun hissəsi mütləq örtülməlidir.
    - Paltar boş olmalıdır ki, qadının bədən forması (xüsusilə sinəsi, beli, budları) müəyyən olunmasın. Bunun üçün paltar kifayət qədər qalın parçadan tikilməlidir.
    - Paltar çox şux, parlaq rənglərdə yox, daha tünd və solğun rənglərdə olmalıdır ki, ətrafdakıların diqqətini cəlb etməsin.
    - Paltar çox bahalı, dəbli və qeyri-adi (ekstravaqant) olmamalıdır. Bu qadının baş örtüyünə də aiddir.
    - Cəlbedici aksesuarların (iri qolbaqlar, zəncirlər, kəmərlər və s.) taxılması bəyənilmir. Bu qayda qeyri-adi qadın çantalarına da aiddir.
    - Bahalı zinət əşyaları qadın yalnız örtüyün altında taxa bilər. Bu qızıl qolbağlara, zəncirlərə və s. aiddir. Baş örtüyünün altında sırğa taxmaq olar (sırğalar görünməməlidir).
    - Ətirlərdən (burada bütün növ ətirlər nəzərdə tutulur) və kosmetikadan qadın yalnız öz evində, onun üçün məhrəm olan ailə üzvlərinin yanında istifadə edə bilər. İctimai yerlədə (habelə toy və s. məclislərində) qadın ətir və kosmetikanın istifadəsindən çəkinməlidir.
    - Hündürdaban ayaqqabılar da müsəlman qadının dress-koduna uyğun deyil. Hündür dabanlı ayaqqabılar yeridikdə səs çıxarır və bu ətrafdakıların diqqətini cəlb edə bilər. Bundan əlavə belə ayaqqabılar qadının yerişini daha cəlbedici edir.
    - Paltar kişi paltarına bənzəməməlidir.
    Hicab dedikdə tək xarici deyil, daxili hicab da (müəyyən əxlaq qaydalarına riayət etməsi) nəzərdə tutulur. Bu çox vacibdir.
