Syrians voice support to army in confronting terrorism

Youth activities in Sweida on Tuesday took to streets in support of the army and armed forces in confronting terrorists and to mark the 67th anniversary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party's (BASP) foundation.
The participants carried Syrian flags and voiced commitment to the homeland and the values of al-Baath Party.
After the march, the Sweida branch of the BASP organized a celebration to mark the party's foundation anniversary, with the participants affirming solidarity with the army and adherence to national standards and unity, and asserting that al-Baath Party will continue to champion the ideals of the Arabism, unity, freedom and socialism.
They also emphasized unity in the face of the conspiracy and plots against Syria.
Party members, religious figures, People's Assembly members, and members of various unions and syndicates participated in the event, during which children drew pictures.
Rally in Homs in support of Syrian Arab Army
In a relevant context, the citizens in Ekremah neighborhood in Homs city staged a rally in support to the army in confronting terrorism and in commemoration of BASP foundation.
Participants carried Syrian flags and placards saluting the Syrian Arab Army, and they affirmed their fealty to the homeland and commitment to national unity and the army.
They asserted that Syria will remain an impregnable fortress in the face of the attacks against it, and that the rallying of people around al-Baath Party and the army heralds the coming victory over terrorism.
The participants said that the Syrians who are rallying in squares across the country are an embodiment of the unified, strong and victorious Syria.
Citizens organize rally in Qara, Damascus in support of army
Citizens in the town of Qara in Damascus Countryside staged a rally in support of the Syrian army in confronting extremism, terrorism and the takfiri thought, expressing determination to build the renewable Syria.
The rally also marked the 67th anniversary of foundation of the BASP.
A huge march in Tartous in support of national principles
Earlier on Monday, hundreds of citizens took to the streets on Monday in a rally and lit candles in support of the national unity and confronting the takfiri thought.
The rally also marked the 67th anniversary of the foundation of the BASP.
The participants expressed support to the Syrian Arab Army in countering terrorism, asserting determination to solve the crisis in Syria far from the foreign interference.
Tartous Governor Nizar Ismael Mousa stressed the necessity of unifying ranks behind the Syrian leadership and army as a guarantee for Syria's stability and unity.
In a relevant context, "In the Name of the Homeland" group honored hundred of the martyrs and injured person's families.
A number of the martyrs' families expressed pride in the sacrifices of their sons in defending the homeland.

Apr 8, 2014
Authorities in Palyra seized 5 archeological artifacts set to be smuggled by terrorists outside the country, a source in the province told SANA Tuesday.
The Antiquities Department in Palmyra city is working, in cooperation with authorities, on protecting archeological sites, museums and warehouses in the area.
Earlier on Sunday, authorities seized 14 archeological artifacts in the area. Another 15 artifacts were seized before being smuggled by terrorists on April 1st.
