    Zu sehen ist Raoni der Häuptling des Kayapó-Stammes - einem Indianervolk des Amazonasgebiets im brasilianischen Mato Grosso.
    Häuptling Raoni bricht in Tränen aus, als er hört, dass Brasiliens Präsidentin Dilma den Bau des hydroelektrischen Staudamms von Belo Monte freigegeben hat, trotz zahlreicher Proteste, sowie über 600.000 Unterschriften die gesammelt wurden.

    Damit wurde das Todesurteil über die Menschen an der großen Biegung des Xingu-Flußes gesprochen. Belo Monte wird insgesamt 400.000 Hektar Regenwald überschwemmen, ein Gebiet, das größer als der Panamakanal ist. 40.000 Menschen indigener und lokaler Bevölkerungsgruppen werden vertrieben - der Lebensraum von sehr vielen Tier-und Pflanzenarten wird zerstört. Das alles, um Elektrizität zu produzieren, die leichter, effektiver, und vor allem gewinnbringender von Investoren erzeugt werden kann.

    Ich weiß, dies geschieht nicht unserem Land, nicht auf unserem Kontinent. Ich mancher wird gar sagen, was kümmert uns Brasilien?! Als ob wir keine eigenen Probleme hätten.
    Doch dieser Meinung bin ich nicht! Raonis würdevolle Geste, seine Hilflosigkeit hat mich sehr berührt - mich zum Nachdenken gebracht.

    Seine Geschichte und die des Kayapó-Stammes soll um die Welt gehen und vielleicht ein Umdenken bewirken. Weg vom rücksichtslosen kapitalistischen Fortschritt, hin zur verantwortungsvollen Gesellschaft.

    Teile dies, wenn du willst dass mehr Menschen von Raoni erfahren sollen.

    Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy upon him), said in Madarij al-Salikin (2/68):

    ''Allah said: He Who created death and life, to test which of you are best in action. [al-Mulk 67:2]

    Fudayl ibn 'Iyad said [about this verse]: 'It is what is most sincere and most correct.'

    They asked: O Abu 'Ali, what is most sincere and most correct?

    He replied: 'An action, if it is sincere but not correct, will not be accept­ed.

    If it is correct but not sincere, it will [also] not be accepted; until it is both sin­cere and correct.

    Sincere means that it is exclusively for Allah, and correct means that it conforms to the Sunnah.'"
