    This is a definitional sentence that tells us what it takes to be a believer: preferring the Prophet even to one's own life. In confirmation of this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported in a Hadith to have said: "None of you truly believes until I am more beloved to him than his father, his child and all the people." (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

    Ein Stück Geschichte
    Wir haben viele Anhaltspunkte gesucht und es zusammen geführt.
    Leider gibt es über diese Geschichte auf deutsch nicht soviel zu finden wie auf türkisch, was auch meistens der Fall ist wenn etwas positives über Muslime gibt.
    Die linke Seite vom Bild haben wir so gefunden Alhamdulillah, die rechte Seite (oben) sind die Kleidungen von den Janitscharen, zu sehen in Karlsruher Museum und Bad Wildungen. Doch googelt man es findet man diese Pfundstücke immer unter dem Namen &quot;Türkenbeute&quot;
    Komischerweise wird diese Geschichte nie richtig erwähnt.
    In folgenden Abschnitt haben die ausführliche Geschichte, mit dem Brief des Sultans, aber leider nur auf türkisch. Falls jemand die Zeit hat es zu übersetzen, kann es gerne machen und es uns schicken, wir fügen es dann hier ein in schaa Allah.

    Kurzfassung auf Deutsch:
    Die Mühlheimer baten den osmanischen Sultan um
    Hilfe gegen die Franzosen. Statt Soldaten schickte
    der Sultan jedoch Säcke voller Armeekleidung.
    Denn nach Meinung des Sultans war die Furcht
    der Franzosen vor den Türken so groß, dass
    schon der Anblick der osmanischen Uniformen
    reichen würde, die Franzosen in die Flucht
    zu schlagen und Mühlheim vor Plünderungen
    zu schützen. Und so wurde der Anekdote
    zufolge nicht nur Mühlheim gerettet, sondern
    gleich der Karnevalsbrauch der Verkleidungen
    begründet.

    19.yüzyılda Almanya&#039;nın Mülheim şehrindeki Ren Nehri&#039;nin bir yakasında Almanlar, öbür yakasında da Fransızlar oturuyordu. Fransızlar, her sene nehrin Almanlardaki kısmına geçip mahsulün
    tümünü toplayıp götürüyorlardı.

    O sıralar, birliğini temin edemeyen güçsüz Almanlar ise buna fazla ses çıkaramıyorlardı tabi. Her sene böyle olunca çareyi Osmanlı Sultanına durumu yazıp, imdat istemekte bulurlar.

    Mektupta şöyle demektedir: &quot;Fransızlar her sene bize zulmediyor, mahsulümüzü elimizden alıyorlar. Siz ki, dünyaya adalet dağıtan bir imparatorluğun sultani, İslamiyet&#039;in de halifesisiniz. Bizi bu zulümden kurtarın. Asker gönderin.Ürünlerimizi bu sene olsun toplama imkanı sağlayın.&quot;

    Çöküş faslına girildiği bir zamana denk gelen yardim isteğini inceleyen padişah asker göndermeyi mümkün ve gerekli görmez; yalnızca asker elbisesi göndermeyi kafi bulur ve cevabını bir mektupla beraber içi askeri elbise dolu üç çuval yollatır. Şaşkına dönen Almanlar, çuvalı alıp mektubu okurlar:

    &quot;Fransızlar korkak adamlardır. Onlara yeniçeri göndermemize gerek yoktur.Yeniçerimizin kıyafetini görmeleri kafidir. Çuval içindeki Osmanlı askerinin elbiselerini adamlarınıza giydirin. Mahsul zamanı, nehrin görülecek yerlerinde dolaştırın.

    Karşıdan gören Fransızlar için bu kafidir.&quot; Bağ bahçe sahipleri hemen Osmanlı askerinin kıyafetini kapışırlar.Hasat vakti büyük bir heyecanla yeniçeri kıyafetinde, nehir kıyısında dolaşmaya başlarlar. Ertesi gün, karşıdan gelen haber, Almanların sevinç çığlıkları atmalarına sebep olur: &quot;Osmanlılardan imdat geldiğini düşünen Fransızlar, korkudan köylerini de terk ederek iç kısımlara doğru kaçmaktalar. Mahsulünüzü rahatça toplayabilirsiniz. Zulüm sona ermiştir.&quot;

    Bu olay, Mülheimlılar&#039;ın gönüllerinde taht kurmuştur. Giydikleri yeniçeri kıyafetlerini, daha sonra Mülheim&#039; a bağlı Karlsruhe Müzesine koyup ziyarete açarlar. Şehrin en yüksek binasına da Osmanlı bayrağı asarlar. Ayrıca, halen olayın yıldönümünde de şehirde bir karnaval düzenleyip hadiseyi temsilen kutlarlar. Bu olay Osmanlı&#039;nın sadece bir yeniçeri kıyafetiyle Almanları Fransızların elinden ve talanından nasıl kurtardığını gösteren maziden elmas bir tablo olarak kalmaktadır

    >Subhānaka-llāhumma rabbana wa bihamdika, allāhummagh-firli<
