Der Prophet Mohammed (a.s.s.) sprach: „Unzufriedenheit wird nach dem Tod eines Führers (Khalifah) herrschen und der Imam Mahdi wird von Medina aus rasant in Mekka eintreffen. Einige der Leute von Mekka werden zu ihm kommen und ihn widerwillig herbeibringen, um ihm in der Nähe der Ka'ba den Treueschwur zu leisten. Eine Armee aus Syrien wird gegen ihn entsandt und zwischen Mekka und Medina von der Wüste verschluckt werden. Wenn die Menschen dies sehen, werden die Edelleute aus Syrien und die Angesehenen aus dem Irak herbeikommen, um ihm den Treueschwur in der Nähe der Ka'ba zu leisten. Danach wird sich ein Mann der Quraish, dessen Onkel vom Stamme der Kalb ist, gegen den Imam Mahdi erheben und eine Armee entsenden, die von ihm besiegt wird und dies ist der Feldzug von Kalb. Derjenige, der an der Beute von Kalb keinen Anteil hat, wird enttäuscht sein. Der Imam Mahdi wird das Vermögen aufteilen und die Menschen nach der Sunnah des Gesandten Gottes (s.) regieren, sodass sich der Islam auf der Erde verbreitet. Der Imam Mahdi wird sieben Jahre bleiben und dann sterben, woraufhin alle Muslime für ihn beten werden." [Überliefert bei A-Tabarani in Al-Awsat. Gemäß Ibn Hajar in seinem "Majma' az-Zawaid" sind die Überlieferer in at-Tabaranis Überlieferung korrekt und authentisch] Der obengenannte Hadith legt dar, dass es einen Konflikt nach dem Tod eines Kalifen geben wird und folglich ein Mann hervorkommen wird, der nachdem ihm die Bai'a gegeben wird, sich als Mahdi erklären wird. Das heißt, Mahdi wird nicht den (rechtgeleiteten) Islamischen Staat [Khilafah Rashidah] errichten, über den in den Ahadith berichtet wird. Genauso wird er nicht der erste Kalif sein, der nach der Zerstörung des Islamischen Staates ernannt wird, und er wird auch nicht der letzte Kalif sein. Vielmehr wird er einfach ein Kalif sein, der die Gerechtigkeit des Islams auf Erden errichtet. Dies ist aus der Perspektive vom Bericht der Geschichte, die vom Propheten (a.s.s.) prophezeiht wurde. Augen voller Schmerz, tiefer Schmerz, Trauer, Leere. Während ich diese Zeilen hier schreibe, kommen mir die Tränen. Tränen der Trauer, des Entsetzen, der Wut.
