    Das haben sich offenbar auch britische Ölkonzerne gedacht, wie nun aus geheimen Papieren hervorgeht, die der britischen Zeitung "Independent" vorliegen. Demnach haben die Konzerne schon früh ihren Teil vom Öl-Schatz des Irak eingefordert - nämlich bereits vor dem Krieg 2003.

    Die Zeitung dokumentiert mehrere Treffen von Londoner Regierungsvertretern mit den Firmen BP und Royal Dutch Shell kurz vor dem Irak-Krieg. Fünf Mal sollen beide Seiten im Oktober und November 2002 zusammengekommen sein.

    BP habe demnach befürchtet, bei Verhandlungen der USA mit Konzernen aus anderen Ländern "außen vor" gelassen zu werden. "Shell und BP können es sich nicht leisten, nicht im Irak beteiligt zu sein. Wir waren entschlossen, einen fairen Anteil für die britischen Firmen in einem Irak nach Saddam zu erreichen",
    wird Edward Chaplin zitiert, der frühere Leiter der Region Nahost im britischen Außenministerium.

    Aus den Protokollen gehe auch hervor, dass BP gegenüber dem Außenministerium erklärt habe, der Irak sei "wichtiger als alles, was wir seit langem gesehen haben".

    1999 sagte General Anthony C. Zinni, Oberbefehlshaber des US Central Command, vor dem Kongress der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika aus, die Golfregion mit ihren riesigen Ölreserven sei von „langfristigem vitalem Interesse" für die USA. Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika „müssen freien Zugang zu den Ressourcen dieser Region haben"

    Auch die damalige Handelsministerin Elizabeth Symons äußerte demnach gegenüber BP die Meinung, dass die Briten ein Anrecht darauf hätten, weil der damalige Premier Tony Blair der US-Regierung seine militärische Unterstützung zugesagt hatte. In einem Protokoll einer Sitzung vom 31. Oktober 2002 ist laut "Independent" festgehalten: "Baroness Symons stimmte überein, dass es schwer zu rechtfertigen sei, wenn britische Firmen im Irak auf diese Weise verdrängt würden, hätte doch Großbritannien die US-Regierung in dieser Krise deutlich unterstützt." Die Politikerin habe versprochen "die Firmen vor Weihnachten zu informieren", wie ihre Bemühungen in Washington verlaufen seien.

    Tag für Tag werden rund sechs Millionen Barrel (1 Barrel = ca. 160 Liter) aus dem Irak abgepumpt.

    Man geht davon aus, dass die USA seit 2003 bis 2009 Öl im Wert von mindestens 300 Milliarden US-Dollar abgepumpt haben.

    300 Milliarden Dollar, die der Ummah gehören!

    there is nothing called sectarianism in Islam, it's either you are a Muslim following the path of Ahlu-Sunnah (Quran and Sunnah) or you are not a Muslim at all .. the prophet said one sect will enter paradise and others won't .. if anybody consider this sectarianism, then yes we are sectarian

    Das haben sich offenbar auch britische Ölkonzerne gedacht, wie nun aus geheimen Papieren hervorgeht, die der britischen Zeitung "Independent" vorliegen. Demnach haben die Konzerne schon früh ihren Teil vom Öl-Schatz des Irak eingefordert - nämlich bereits vor dem Krieg 2003.

    Die Zeitung dokumentiert mehrere Treffen von Londoner Regierungsvertretern mit den Firmen BP und Royal Dutch Shell kurz vor dem Irak-Krieg. Fünf Mal sollen beide Seiten im Oktober und November 2002 zusammengekommen sein.

    BP habe demnach befürchtet, bei Verhandlungen der USA mit Konzernen aus anderen Ländern "außen vor" gelassen zu werden. "Shell und BP können es sich nicht leisten, nicht im Irak beteiligt zu sein. Wir waren entschlossen, einen fairen Anteil für die britischen Firmen in einem Irak nach Saddam zu erreichen",
    wird Edward Chaplin zitiert, der frühere Leiter der Region Nahost im britischen Außenministerium.

    Aus den Protokollen gehe auch hervor, dass BP gegenüber dem Außenministerium erklärt habe, der Irak sei "wichtiger als alles, was wir seit langem gesehen haben".

    1999 sagte General Anthony C. Zinni, Oberbefehlshaber des US Central Command, vor dem Kongress der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika aus, die Golfregion mit ihren riesigen Ölreserven sei von „langfristigem vitalem Interesse" für die USA. Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika „müssen freien Zugang zu den Ressourcen dieser Region haben"

    Auch die damalige Handelsministerin Elizabeth Symons äußerte demnach gegenüber BP die Meinung, dass die Briten ein Anrecht darauf hätten, weil der damalige Premier Tony Blair der US-Regierung seine militärische Unterstützung zugesagt hatte. In einem Protokoll einer Sitzung vom 31. Oktober 2002 ist laut "Independent" festgehalten: "Baroness Symons stimmte überein, dass es schwer zu rechtfertigen sei, wenn britische Firmen im Irak auf diese Weise verdrängt würden, hätte doch Großbritannien die US-Regierung in dieser Krise deutlich unterstützt."
